My first website, and the reels that beat it

everything it took:

The Xboom storefront

A drone and robotics marketplace with a WooCommerce store that nobody owned, product listings that needed writing, and no lifecycle email at all.

The first one I built alone

WordPress and WooCommerce, page by page on the Salient theme: the category pages, the product pages, the seasonal sale pages and the creative on them. No developer, which is how I ended up learning page speed, on-page structure and what a Core Web Vital is, because there was nobody else to ask. Every website since started here. The store was not the only counter either: the same catalogue sold through Amazon Seller Central, which I worked in alongside it.

Buyer’s guides, not blog posts

On-page, technical and content SEO in Semrush, and the comparison guides that carried it: Mini 3 Pro against Mini 3, Avata against Avata 2, the best drone for wedding photography. Someone searching those has already decided to buy and is choosing between two things.

1.38 million views across five reels

The brand film, shot to be watched sideways, which is why it opens by asking you to turn your phone, did 453,000 views and is still pinned to the account. Around it, the product films and the unboxings: the VFLYX agricultural drone, the DJI head-to-heads, customer reactions, all cut in Premiere Pro. Explainer carousels in Canva, the LinkedIn programme, and the Mailchimp upsell and re-engagement automations that had not existed before.

The reels are the part I can still evidence, and they outran everything else on the job by two orders of magnitude. What the search and email work did, I never recorded. It was two years ago and the numbers went with the access. Twenty-two pieces are still live and every one of them is linked below.

Take the numbers with me. Everything I built here outlived my access to the dashboards behind it, and a year of SEO and lifecycle work now comes down to my word. Every job since gets a record I keep.

THE RESULTS

Every figure carries the thing it grew from, because a number without its denominator isn’t a number.
